Sustainability Leadership Challenge 2008:
Launching The Real Change research programme

Stockholm, Sweden - May 9th, 2008.

During this years summit a new research programme was launched - Real Change. It aims to support the world’s decision makers in their promotion of sustainability and at ensuring that their decision making will rest on scientific foundations leading to – real change towards sustainability.

Real Change is an interdisciplinary, intersectoral programme which accepts this challenge and is working to co-ordinate the development of theory, methodology and practice for strategic sustainable development, with scientists and policy-makers from all over the world taking part. A hundred or so of them gathered for a kick-off on the launch date, 9th May, in the presence of H. M. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.
